UPDATE 6/25/15: Sadly, Kim’s has closed.
So you put a long day in at work and come home with no desire to cook. What’s a girl to do?
If you’re me, you go to Kim’s Vietnamese Restaurant. (109 SE 29th St, Topeka, KS 66605. (785) 267-4200) Fast. Friendly. Reasonably priced. And since I’m throwing out descriptors, let’s not forget tasty.
We’ve been going to Kim’s for a few years, both in this location and their former location on 10th. I can happily recommend just about everything on their menu. Their fried rice wasn’t my cuppa…. but let’s talk about their basil chicken. Or their lemongrass beef. Or their pho. Or their Vietnamese pancake. And did I mention they have bubble tea?
This isn’t a special occasion kind of place. This is a homey, comfortable, waitress-remembers-your-regular-order place to stick in your regular rotation. And, honestly, a full plate of something yummy at Kim’s costs about what a combo meal at a fast food place would. Way better deal, don’t you think?
